Summer 2024

The summer is an amazing time for almost 100 youth. Our seven-week program provides literacy supports, life skills, and having a lot of fun. Special thanks to our partners Metro Action Commission, Power Youth, NAZA, and many individual donors who made this summer possible.

May 2024

Our Zomi elders welcomed the West End Home Foundation to celebration our partnership in improving the lives of refugee elders. We enjoyed Zomi singing, drumming, and a Zomi home-cooked meal.

Special thanks to the Predators Foundation for a generous grant to fund the renovation of our classrooms….we look forward to opening the Gnash Learning Center!

April 2024

We hosted a parent workshop to help parents become more involved in their children’s education. We also hosted generous volunteers from HCA and Westminster Presbyterian Church to complete some painting projects. And we finished the renovation work on a kitchenette and classroom flooring for our youth program.

March 2024

Thanks to the Nashville Soccer Club, the high school students we served were able to attend an NSC game!

FEBRUARY 2024

Nations Ministry hosted an immigration training for our own staff and staff and friends of The Branch of Nashville and Tennessee Resettlement Aid. This training helped attendees better understand how to serve our neighbors who have immigration needs, how we can help, and how to refer to professionals.

January 2024

We are excited to partner with MNPS to provide additional tutoring to elementary school students. We have contracted with Metro government to provide Accelerating Tutors tutoring for the winter semester. So happy the kids can receive this extra support.

December 2023

Thank to generous donor friends and an incredibly generous gift from a Nashville family, over 110 children received stockings, a new pair of shoes and a toy. Thank you for making this holiday joyous!

September 2023

Nations Ministry received a generous grant from the Nashville Soccer Club to encourage kids to become better readers and build life skills!

Fall 2023

Refugee elders were out and about this fall. They visited the Tennessee State Museum, played BINGO at the YMCA, and enjoyed a tour of the Governor’s Residence. Thank you for helping refugee elders feel less isolated and a part of their community.

August 2023

Nations Ministry Center received a $40,000 gift from Lowe’s to renovate a kitchen to better serve youth and our neighbors. Read the story here.
